Its been awhile, I know.....sorry been away getting engaged and everything. All my projects seemed to have fallen through, so its time for a new one. Not only is it a new JonPearson.co.uk project but it also involves Myspace.............I can feel the excitement from every single one of you (if anyone actually reads these anymore.....

The Great JonPearson.co.uk Project

So what is this great project? The main aim of this project (stage 1) is to drive traffic towards my site, and all that will become clear once I've moved up to the later stages. Although the site has been "officially" up since December 2006 I don't feel that the site was properly launched untill 1st March 2007, that is this sites birthday and thats how it is going to stay, its my site, and I'll say what I want to!.....

Mutant Powers Continued

Its early (ish) on a Thursday morning, and I receive the first email of the day from Mr. Minshaw. Its a standard email, some random link to techie stuff and then abit of "how are things?" in the main body of the message....

St. Patricks Day Chaos

So we were in the Minerva pub in Essington last Monday, 12th March, and we notice that they are giving away hats and badges on St. Patricks day for every 4 pints of Guiness that you have. I turned to Andy and said "You fancy that?" he said "yes", the next sentence that came from his mouth was the real reason why I'm sat here, typing, with a banging headache, feeling a little worse for wear and running to the toilet on a regular basis! This sentence was, "I bet you can't get 5 hats!"......that sounds like a challenge to me!
"You serious? You're challenging me to try and get 5 Guiness hats on St. Patricks day?"
A firm "YES!" was all it needed to confirm that Andy and myself would be on a Guiness hat mission on the 17th March 2007 that would possible end up in one of us being taken to have a stomach pump inthe early hours of the 18th March!.....

Elephant Polo

With the cricket world cup rapidly approaching, me being half scottish and Scotland being drawn in the same group as Australia, South Africa and the Netherlands...............and Scotland doing so terrible in the current RBS Six Nations I felt it was needed to look at sports in which Scotland have been victorious in recently, this is what leads me onto Elephant Polo.....

Hot Fuzz film review

After what seems like a life time since Shaun Of the Dead, the team have finally hit our big screen again with another laugh a minute, quite dark look into policing in a small country village. Simon Pegg plays PC Nicolas Angel, a London police officer with the greatest arrest rate in the London area, he is pushed off to the country by his superiors (great cameo appearances by Bill Nighy, Steve Coogan and Martin Freeman) as Angel arrest record is beginnig to belittle the rest of the police force....

Blog on Blogging

If you think that bloggin is for the IT geeks that have a "hackers tan" and very little of a social life, then just maybe I'm going to disprove that intial perception. I too once thought in this way, but as you can see I've seen the light and I'm here to show that blogging is becoming part of our culture and its going to be part of our history aswell. Blogs will float around the internet ether for years and years to come, so why not put you're 2 pence in, why not become part of this planets history.....

Thundercats Vs He-Man

Its the sort of question that gets thrown around the office on a near weekly basis, who would win in a fight, Jon Vs Rich or Drawing Office Vs IT Office. But then it got to what some people would see as a "silly level", it got to fictional, animated characters. This can all be blamed on one person and one person only (in my life anyway), my girlfriend Nicola. It all stems from her favourite question in the world, "Who would win in a fight, Orvil the Duck Vs 4 real ducks?".....

If I were a mutant, what would I do?

Its a question that goes through most peoples minds when watching or hearing about anything to do with X-Men. This brillaint Marvel Comic that has been so excellently brought to life and displayed on our big screens, it starts the strangest of thoughts in my head, thoughts that have kept me awake on many occasions, thoughts that, I'm sure shouldn't enter and normal guys mind when trying to sleep: If I had a mutant power, what would it be? Would I be good? Would I be evil? Would I tell anyone about my powers?.....
